Dawson Creek Mile marker zero on the Alaska highway
On my drive today I got stuck in a snow storm for about 3 hours. While driving the ambulance in 25 degree weather in the middle of Canada in the middle of a snow storm I have to start questioning my life decisions!
My poor Ambulance
Mile marker zero!
Sis looking at snow! Remember she hasn't seen snow since probably 2008 after living in St. Thomas, USVI.
I have to watch my co pilot when she gets in and out of her seat sometimes her fat butt hits the sirens and lights button!
Seems like the Co-pilot is always hitting the wrong switches.
Hard to see but I drove through some logging country. There were huge areas where they were harvesting the trees.
Everything is still going good hope to be out of the snow tomorrow. I have one or two more nights until Skagway. I'm not in any rush now because my barge ferry doesn't leave until May 13th.
One more interesting thing I've noticed on my drive is the difference in the wheat crops from Oklahoma to here. They don't plant winter wheat here in fact they are just now starting to plant. I guess they harvest it in August or September.
